A Message From Luke
My goal as your Senator is to help where and when I am able, and today, I’m able to help by facilitating resources and sharing important information which impacts us all. We have set up this resource center for Horry County residents where you will find links to safety precautions, reliable information on the COVID-19/Coronavirus, government assistance programs, school meal pick up locations, educational resources to support families helping students learn at home and other helpful information.
Horry County has experienced more than its fair share of tough circumstances recently in the form of hurricanes and floods. Working together we rise to the challenges and stand strong during times of adversity. We all deserve to both GIVE and RECEIVE patience and support during this stressful time. I am praying for the safety and health of every member of this community.
God bless each and every one of us.

Many parents became homeschoolers overnight and with school cancelled for the year, resources are needed by many parents and students. This page is filled with activities, links to lesson plans and worksheets, and other educational resources. Thank you to all the educators who helped compile this information and continue to build at home curriculums.
To help students be able to learn in a virtual environment, free wi-fi services are available while the schools are closed. Horry Telephone Cooperative and Charter Communications through the Spectrum network will be offering students free wi-fi in homes where it is not already installed and opening up their hotspots to the public nation-wide.
Horry County Schools homepage will be a good resource for students and parents with the homeschooling and virtual classroom environment now in place for the remainder of the academic year.
